Yad va-Shem

This is just a brief entry to explain the picture in the header of this website.

In 2007, my wife and I were blessed with a trip to Israel. A strong memory for both of us was a visit to Yad va-Shem, Israel's Holocaust museum.

You could easily spend more than a day at the museum - we had about 2 hours - still long enough to feel ill with graphic, unabridged information-overload.

It's the Tuesday morning after Easter Monday. I'm in the public hospital lying next to my youngest son, not exactly what I thought I'd be doing when I woke up about 20 hours ago.
