Ripped MP3's

So I'm shopping for music in Bangalore, India and I come across these MP3 CD's for about 5 bucks. 50 mp3's for 5 bucks! I can't believe my luck. I buy the best of 80's and 90's. Too cool.

I bring them back to my apartment and crack open the seal. The disc spins up in my laptop and I put on my headphones to enjoy some good 'ol time tunes like "Down Under", "Billie Jean", "When Doves Cry", oh the list goes on and on. The first track comes on and its about 2 bars in I realise why the discs were so cheap. There was nothing at all on the cover to suggest that these songs were anything but original, but alas, they are performed by what sounds like the local kareoke champions. Actually, its very well done considering.
