Amazing Grace
Saw the movie last night. Really well done with a bunch of great actors and scenery. Not without a few faults, like any other film, but with far less then most. When I'm 103 years old, I want to have a voice like Albert Finney so I can scare the jelly out of my great-grand children when they get too close to my vintage Camaro.
The movie is about William Wilberforce, played by Ioan Gruffudd, who fought a long and tedious battle against the slave trade. He was a true superhero. Grufford does an admirable job as Wilberforce, certainly a lot better than his efforts as the stretchy guy in Fantastic Four.
Buried in the movie is a good reminder that often, the best way to live out your spiritual convictions is not by withdrawing to solitude, but getting your hands dirty, like MoTo, she had it goin' awn too.
Not sure where I'm going with this blog post. The wrap up = See the movie "Amazing Grace", don't bother with "Fantastic Four" and get your hands dirty somehow.
Anyway, I gotta go 'bolish me some slave tradin'.
